Na ekranie - GRACE and FRANKIE - On the screen

Dzisiaj chciałabym zapoczątkować nową serię na blogu. Serię o serialach, filmach i być może programach telewizyjnych, które odkryłam będąc na Wyspach. Zdaję sobie sprawę, że w pewnej mierze będą to tytuły dostępne tylko w Wielkiej Brytanii ale z drugiej strony Polak potrafi ;) więc warto pisać.

Today I would like to introduce you to something else on the blog. Me writing about movies, TV series, and television programs which I discovered while living in the UK. Some of the titles may only be available on Netflix, prime or the BBC. If you can’t find it there you know what to do..


Na pierwszy ogień idzie serial wyprodukowany przez Netflix - GRACE and FRANKIE. Właśnie sprawdziłam, że na platformie jest dostępny zarówno z polskim lektorem i napisami, trzeba tylko mieć wykupiony dostęp lub skorzystać z miesiąca za free, kto jeszcze może.

My first choice is Grace and Frankie available on Netflix in Poland with subtitles.
Dotychczas powstały dwie serie serialu, ale na wiosnę przyszłego roku planowana jest kolejna. I powiem szczerze, nie mogę się doczekać! Dawno nic tak mnie nie ubawiło.

Serial zaczyna się niepozornie. Ot kolejna obyczajowa produkcja. Na wspólnej kolacji w restauracji spotykają się dwa małżeństwa w wieku tak na oko po sześćdziesiątce. Na pozór są totalnie różni. Jedna para to elegancka, pewna siebie business woman i jej mąż w świetnie skrojonym garniturze. Druga para to podstarzała hipiska i jej mąż w tweedowej marynarce, kraciastej koszuli i krawacie. W rolach głównych Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen, Sam Waterston.
Rozpoczyna się zabawny dialog. Wyraźnie widać, że pary totalnie się od siebie różnią, choć od lat łączy ich przyjaźń i wspólny prawniczy biznes obu panów.
Aż tu nagle panowie zbierają się na odwagę, aby coś paniom wyznać, otóż postanawiają się z nimi rozwieść. Jednocześnie. Gdyż co tu dużo mówić, od dwudziestu lat żywią do siebie miłość i pragną w końcu rozpocząć wspólne życie...
No to ja już jestem za! Będzie zabawnie! I dokładnie tak jest. Dialogi, gra aktorska, sam scenariusz bawią do łez. Obejrzysz pierwszy odcinek i chcesz kolejny, i potem następny i tak do końca drugiej serii. Owszem może w drugiej serii serial nieco zwolnił ale w żaden sposób nie stracił na byciu wciąż zabawnym i wzbudzającym apetyt na serię trzecią.
A Lily Tomlin i Jane Fonda razem, to po prostu cudo! POLECAM!!!

There are two seasons so far but a third is planned, and to be honest, I cannot wait! I simply love it!
The series begins inconspicuously. Two couples in their sixties meet for a dinner in a restaurant. On the surface, they are totally different. One pair is an elegant, self-confident business woman and her husband in a well-tailored suit. The second pair is an elderly hippie and her husband in a tweed jacket, a plaid shirt and tie. The cast is Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Martin Sheen, and Sam Waterston.
It starts with funny dialogue. Both pairs are totally different from each other, even though for years they share a friendship the men run a solicitors business together.
Suddenly the men gather up the courage to confess to their ladies that they're going to divorce them, since for the last twenty years they have been in love and they want to start a new life together ...
Well, I'm already behind! It will be fun! And exactly it is. The dialogue, the acting, the scenario is amazing. You look at the first episode and want another, and then another to the end of the second season. The second season has some dips but it’s still good fun. Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda together are just a miracle! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!
